As autumn winds ripple through golden rice fields, the Taiwan Mazu Party - Rice Town Life Market, an annual event in Yuanli, Miaoli, will take place November 29-30 at Love Orchard. This year’s event centers on ESG-focused low-carbon sustainable travel and brings together religious culture, artistic landscapes, and local brands to create a harvest festival rich in both culture and tourism.
The two-day market will feature more than 20 local brands, offering a one-stop experience of specialty farm products, local delicacies, handcrafted goods, and live music performances. Two in-depth itineraries will also be introduced. The Mazu Pilgrimage Route focuses on Mazu beliefs and the coastal lifestyle, while the Artistic Mountain Slow Travel Route combines artistic aesthetics with the tranquil charm of slow-paced city landscapes. Along both routes, ESG-friendly Stops will offer limited-time promotions to encourage travelers to explore the mountains and coast in a low-carbon and comfortable way.
During the event period, Love Orchard and its surroundings will present land art installations by artist Chang Pu Yun, whose works are inspired by the rural landscapes of Yuanli. The pieces include Weaving Shelter, Guardian, and Dragonfly Settling over Fragrant Rice, paired with painted rice fields to create this season’s most striking harvest landscape and a must-visit photo hotspot for travelers.
