Miaoli Takes Another Step in Developing the Singapore Tourism Market: “100 Ways to Wander Central Taiwan” Brand Alliance Signs MOUs with Singapore Travel Agencies

The Miaoli County Government joined three other cities and counties in central Taiwan in visiting Singapore to promote tourism from August 4 to 8. On August 6, the Culture and Tourism Bureau (under the Miaoli County Government) held a B2B Business-Matchmaking Event at Raffles Place, where Culture and Tourism Bureau Director-General Lin Yen-Fu led tourism operators in engaging with representatives of 16 local travel agencies and three airlines.

On August 7, Miaoli County Tourism Association Chairman Yu Chih-yung represented the “100 Ways to Wander Central Taiwan” Brand Alliance in signing memoranda of understanding on tourism cooperation with CTC Travel and Nam Ho Travel Service[u1.1]. The agreements aim to deepen tourism cooperation and jointly develop themed travel products. At the NATAS Travel Fair in August, the alliance will promote four themed itineraries, including Miaoli’s “Pray for Blessings, Banquets, and Slow Travel” experience, while also developing both independent-traveler and group-tour markets.

Director-General Lin and Miaoli County Magistrate Chung Tung-chin emphasized that they would continue to promote Miaoli on the international stage. They also plan to invite Singaporean tourism operators to visit Miaoli on a familiarization tour in the fourth quarter of this year, laying the groundwork for the 2027 Taiwan Lantern Festival to be held in Miaoli.
